About This Game:
Sanitarium is a psychological point-and-click adventure about an amnesiac man who awakens in an institution after a car accident. With little understanding of his identity or surroundings, he travels through a series of increasingly surreal locations while trying to reconstruct his memories.

The story moves between disturbing realities that may represent memories, hallucinations, or something more complicated. Each area introduces new characters and themes while gradually revealing information about the protagonist’s past.

How the Gameplay Works
Players explore from an isometric perspective, speak with characters, examine objects, collect useful items, and solve environmental or inventory-based puzzles. Progress often depends on understanding the unusual logic governing each location.

Different chapters can change the character being controlled and the type of world being explored. Combat is not the main focus, with most obstacles solved through observation, conversation, and puzzle solving.
