About This Game:
Skyformer is an open-world automation and survival crafting game built around transforming a hostile planet into a place capable of supporting life. Players control a robot sent ahead of its creators to establish infrastructure, process resources, build automated factories, and gradually alter the environment. What begins as survival on a barren world eventually becomes a much larger planetary engineering project.
Terraforming is tied directly to the planet’s weather and ecosystems rather than functioning only as a progress meter. As conditions change, new regions can become accessible, vegetation can spread, and increasingly powerful weather systems can develop. Factories, drones, shelters, monitoring stations, defenses, and a growing skybase all contribute to the long-term goal of creating a stable climate.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore in first person, gather resources, establish bases, and build production chains that can eventually be operated by automated drones. Resource deposits can feed processing systems continuously, allowing attention to shift from manual gathering toward improving production rates, logistics, and the placement of infrastructure across the world.
Terraforming machines gradually change global and regional conditions, but manipulating the atmosphere can also produce destructive storms. Weather monitoring becomes important for predicting threats and protecting structures. Players can construct drone defenses, strengthen their equipment, harness energy from storms, grow plants, expand into previously inhospitable regions, and ultimately stabilize the planet. The experience can be played alone or cooperatively with up to four players.
