Slice & Dice is a turn-based roguelike built around a party of heroes whose actions are determined by custom dice. Each hero contributes different die faces for attacks, defense, healing, mana, rerolls, and utility, making party composition central to every run.
The game looks simple at first, but hundreds of items, classes, enemies, and rule modifiers create a large amount of tactical depth.
How the Gameplay Works
Players roll the party’s dice, lock useful results, reroll the rest, and assign faces to heroes or enemies. Knowing when to settle for a safe result instead of gambling on another reroll is a constant decision.
Heroes can upgrade into new classes during a run, while items modify individual die faces in powerful ways. Bosses, curses, and alternate modes create fresh challenges long after the basic rules are understood. The experience also rewards experimentation because turn-based dice combat does not operate separately from party of upgradeable heroes and reroll and lock mechanics. Different combinations can produce safer, faster, or more efficient results, while hundreds of items and classes gives the player another long-term objective to consider. That keeps repeated stages or encounters from feeling exactly the same. Although the game keeps its systems limited, turn-based dice combat, party of upgradeable heroes, and reroll and lock mechanics provide the main sources of progression and give players a clear reason to refine their approach over repeated stages or attempts.
