Souldiers is a fantasy action RPG and Metroidvania in which fallen warriors awaken in the mysterious realm of Terragaya instead of moving on to the afterlife. Players explore interconnected regions filled with monsters, hidden paths, traps, puzzles, and challenging bosses while searching for a way to understand their fate.
Three character classes provide different combat approaches, allowing players to rely on sword-and-shield fighting, ranged archery, or magic. Equipment, upgrades, elemental abilities, and new movement skills expand both combat options and access to previously blocked locations.
How the Gameplay Works
Exploration takes place across side-scrolling areas containing checkpoints, secrets, platforming sections, and enemies. Combat rewards careful blocking, dodging, positioning, and knowledge of enemy attack patterns rather than constant attacking.
New abilities gradually open shortcuts and inaccessible routes throughout the interconnected world. Weapons and gear can be improved, while elemental tools provide additional options for solving environmental obstacles and dealing with specific enemies.
