SpellForce 2: Faith in Destiny continues the series’ combination of real-time strategy and role-playing gameplay in the fantasy world of Eo. A new threat has emerged after earlier conflicts, forcing the player to gather allies and confront forces destabilizing the remaining lands.
The game alternates between controlling individual heroes like an RPG and commanding larger armies through an RTS-style interface. Character development, equipment, quests, base construction, and unit production all contribute to the campaign.
How the Gameplay Works
Players directly control a hero and supporting companions while exploring maps, speaking with characters, completing quests, and fighting enemies. Heroes gain equipment and abilities that improve their effectiveness in combat.
On strategy-focused maps, workers gather resources while players build structures and recruit military units. Hero abilities remain useful during these battles, allowing RPG characters and conventional armies to fight alongside one another.
