About This Game:
Star Trek: Elite Force II is a first-person sci-fi shooter that continues the story of Alexander Munro and the Hazard Team after their return from the Delta Quadrant. Following a brief assignment at Starfleet Academy, Munro is recruited by Captain Jean-Luc Picard to form a new Hazard Team aboard the USS Enterprise-E. Their missions soon lead them into a conflict involving a dangerous alien species known as the Exomorphs, along with Romulan forces, mercenaries, and other threats across several planets and starships.
The game combines traditional first-person shooting with squad-based missions, exploration, environmental puzzles, and sections aboard the Enterprise. Players fight alongside other Hazard Team members while traveling through starships, alien settlements, military facilities, and outdoor environments. Between major missions, parts of the Enterprise can be explored and conversations with crew members provide additional story details and occasional dialogue choices.
How the Gameplay Works
Players control Alexander Munro from a first-person perspective and use a selection of futuristic weapons against alien creatures, hostile soldiers, and mechanical threats. Every weapon includes primary and secondary firing functions, giving players different options for conserving ammunition or dealing heavier damage. Energy weapons can be recharged at suitable stations, while conventional firearms require ammunition pickups found throughout missions.
The tricorder is used for more than scanning the environment and can detect structural weaknesses, interact with equipment, and solve technical puzzles involving systems such as power routing and waveform modulation. Some missions involve direct firefights, while others include infiltration, team-based objectives, or quieter exploration. Hidden golden starship models can also be collected throughout the campaign to unlock additional bonus levels, while multiplayer provides several competitive modes outside the main story.
