About This Game:
Stay Out of the House is a retro-styled survival horror game inspired by VHS-era slasher films and early 3D horror. After being abducted by a violent killer, the player is trapped inside a hostile house and must find a way out before becoming another victim.
The building is designed as an interconnected puzzle filled with locked doors, crawlspaces, traps, hidden routes, useful tools, and disturbing discoveries. Its low-resolution visual style and limited information make listening and observation especially important.
How the Gameplay Works
Players search rooms for keys, tools, codes, and items that can open new routes while avoiding the killer patrolling the property. Hiding, moving quietly, and learning alternative paths can be safer than attempting a direct confrontation.
Inventory space and available resources are limited, so useful objects must be chosen carefully. The house can be approached in different ways, and solving its larger escape puzzle requires understanding how separate rooms, security systems, vents, and locked areas connect.
