About This Game:
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is a 3D platform adventure that sends SpongeBob and Balloon-Patrick through a collection of alternate Wishworlds. After magical Mermaid’s Tears tear open portals across Bikini Bottom, familiar characters become scattered through strange versions of their usual world.
Each Wishworld has its own theme, including western, prehistoric, medieval, Halloween, and movie-inspired settings. The story leans heavily into SpongeBob humor while giving recognizable characters different roles within each altered reality.
How the Gameplay Works
SpongeBob jumps, glides, swings, karate-kicks, ground-pounds, and attacks enemies while navigating linear and semi-open platforming areas. New movement abilities are introduced during the adventure and later used in more complicated platforming sequences.
Stages contain objectives, boss encounters, collectibles, hidden coins, and optional challenges. Completing story missions also unlocks costumes, while revisiting earlier areas with new abilities allows additional secrets to be reached.
