About This Game:
Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate turns the rules of chess into a compact roguelike where the black king has lost his entire army but gained a shotgun. Every opposing chess piece still follows recognizable movement rules, while the king must survive by moving carefully and blasting pieces off the board.
Between rounds, upgrades change the shotgun, the king, or the opposing army. Many rewards come with drawbacks, so gaining a useful ability may also add another enemy piece or make an existing threat more dangerous.
How the Gameplay Works
The king moves one square at a time and can fire the shotgun instead of making a normal movement. Shots spread across nearby squares and require reloading, making distance and positioning critical when several enemy pieces can attack simultaneously.
Enemy movement follows chess-like threat patterns, so players must constantly identify which squares are safe before acting. Clearing a board advances the run and presents new upgrade choices until increasingly powerful enemy formations or a mistake finally end the attempt.
