Stellar Monarch is a turn-based space grand strategy game designed around making the player feel like an emperor rather than a fleet logistics officer. Instead of manually constructing every ship or controlling every squadron, the ruler focuses on imperial priorities, court politics, high-level military decisions, rebellions, officials, and expansion across a huge galaxy.
The asymmetric design means alien civilizations do not simply behave like rival human players following identical rules. Their purposes and behavior vary, creating a galaxy where not every species is competing for the same conventional victory objective.
How the Gameplay Works
Players issue edicts, appoint officials, set economic and military priorities, manage the imperial court, hold audiences, and decide how the empire should respond to internal and external threats. Large fleets and numerous planets are handled through abstracted systems rather than constant manual orders.
Expansion creates more territory but also additional governors, admirals, rebels, and political complications. Assassinations and court problems can threaten imperial stability, while alien encounters require decisions ranging from coexistence to military destruction. The emphasis remains on large strategic choices rather than low-level construction.

How to Install:
