About This Game:
Story of a Gladiator is an arena-based beat-’em-up set during the age of the Roman Empire. Players take control of a fighter who has lost everything to war and enters the arena in search of a new purpose, gradually battling toward the greatest contests of Rome.

Combat is presented in a side-view arena format inspired by classic arcade brawlers. Fighters from different backgrounds can be developed with new abilities, equipment, blessings, and other advantages as they gain fame and survive increasingly difficult battles.

How the Gameplay Works
Each battle places the player against waves of gladiators or dangerous animals within a contained arena. Attacks, dodges, special techniques, positioning, and crowd control become increasingly important as larger groups and stronger enemy types appear.

Victory earns money that can be spent on upgrades and preparation for future fights. Players can learn combat skills, seek assistance from the gods, gain favor with spectators, train a tiger companion, and eventually confront powerful arena bosses.
