Surviving Mars: Relaunched is an expanded and remastered version of the science-fiction colony builder about establishing permanent human civilization on Mars. Players must transform a hostile landscape into a functioning settlement capable of providing oxygen, electricity, water, food, housing, employment, and long-term stability.
The Relaunched edition combines the original game with its previous expansions in reworked form while adding updated visuals, a redesigned interface, and the Martian Assembly. This political system extends the endgame by allowing laws to shape society and potentially guide Mars toward independence from Earth.
How the Gameplay Works
Players begin with robotic infrastructure before creating domes capable of supporting human colonists. Power grids, life-support systems, supply chains, resource extraction, research, and transportation must all remain reliable because a failure in one area can quickly affect the entire settlement.
As the population grows, colonist needs and social development become increasingly important. Rival colonies, mysteries, environmental hazards, animals, political decisions, and the new Martian Assembly provide additional challenges beyond simply keeping the first dome operational.
