About This Game:
The Knight Witch is a hand-drawn action game combining Metroidvania exploration with twin-stick shooting and deck-building abilities. Players control Rayne, a newly recognized Knight Witch defending the underground city of Dungeonidas from a mechanical invasion.
Rayne’s powers are strengthened through bonds with the people she protects, while a customizable deck determines which magical abilities can appear during combat. The story also gives players opportunities to decide how openly or honestly Rayne communicates with the public.
How the Gameplay Works
Rayne flies freely through rooms while aiming magical shots in any direction. Enemies often fill the screen with projectiles, turning movement and dodging into an important part of surviving larger battles.
Spell cards are drawn from a chosen deck and consume mana when used, providing shields, attacks, summons, and other effects. Exploration unlocks new areas, cards, upgrades, and secrets while boss battles combine shooting patterns with magic management.
