The Textorcist: The Story of Ray Bibbia combines typing challenges with bullet-hell action in a bizarre supernatural adventure. Ray Bibbia is a private exorcist investigating demonic incidents across a corrupted city, facing possessed victims, cultists, and increasingly absurd supernatural threats.
Its unusual combat system forces players to concentrate on two tasks at the same time: accurately typing passages of exorcism text and physically dodging large patterns of enemy projectiles. This creates a very different kind of difficulty from ordinary typing games.
How the Gameplay Works
During exorcisms, words appear on screen and must be typed correctly to advance the ritual. Meanwhile, Ray remains vulnerable to bullets and hazards, requiring movement around the arena without losing track of the text.
Taking a hit can interrupt progress and force the player to recover before continuing. Bosses introduce distinct projectile patterns and distractions, so success depends on touch-typing ability, multitasking, and learning when it is safe to type several characters at once.
