About This Game:
Tortuga – A Pirate’s Tale is a tactical pirate adventure set across the Caribbean during the age of sail. Players begin as an aspiring captain and gradually assemble a fleet, recruit crew members, raid valuable targets, accept contracts, and build a reputation among pirates and colonial powers.

Maintaining the loyalty of the crew is an important part of command. Pirates expect rewards and successful voyages, forcing captains to balance ambition with the promises made to those serving aboard the fleet.

How the Gameplay Works
Players sail between ports on a strategic map, trade goods, accept missions, repair ships, recruit sailors, and search for targets. Naval battles move to a turn-based tactical grid where positioning determines which cannons can fire effectively.

Different ships can be captured or added to the fleet and equipped for particular roles. Crew agreements create objectives that should be fulfilled before patience runs out, adding pressure to each period of piracy.
