Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 is an arcade skateboarding game built around the fictional World Destruction Tour, a chaotic competition between teams led by Tony Hawk and Bam Margera. Players travel through international locations completing skate goals, destructive stunts, hidden objectives, and unusual challenges.
The game retains the combo-driven skating of earlier Tony Hawk titles while expanding off-board movement, environmental interaction, and guest characters. Its Story Mode emphasizes comedy and destruction, while Classic Mode provides more traditional timed objective runs.
How the Gameplay Works
Players build scores by chaining grabs, flips, grinds, manuals, reverts, transfers, and special tricks without falling. Manuals and reverts allow long combinations to continue between ramps, rails, and street obstacles.
Characters can get off their boards to walk, climb, throw objects, and reach new areas. Each level contains multiple skaters or vehicles with unique abilities, while Classic Mode challenges players to complete familiar goals within a time limit.
