Tower of Time is a party-based fantasy RPG built around exploring a mysterious tower filled with dangerous creatures, lost technology, puzzles, and fragments of an ancient history. Players assemble a group of champions and descend through increasingly strange levels while uncovering what happened to the world and why the tower holds such importance. Its story combines traditional fantasy ideas with darker mysteries and unusual technological elements.
Rather than using conventional turn-based encounters, the game places heavy emphasis on tactical real-time battles where positioning and ability timing matter. Characters belong to different classes and can be developed with new skills and equipment, allowing the party to be adjusted around different combat strategies as stronger enemies begin appearing.
How the Gameplay Works
Exploration takes place across handcrafted tower levels containing enemies, puzzles, secrets, treasure, and story events. When combat begins, party members are positioned on a battlefield and controlled individually. Players can slow the action significantly to issue movement commands, select abilities, change targets, and respond to new threats without depending entirely on fast reactions.
Different champions specialize in areas such as melee fighting, ranged damage, magic, support, or defense. Skills can affect specific areas of the battlefield, making enemy positioning and party formation important. Equipment, character progression, crafting, and increasingly complex encounters provide additional ways to strengthen the team throughout the adventure.
