Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is a fast team-based fighting game that brings characters from Marvel Comics together with heroes and villains from Capcom franchises. Its roster includes fighters from series such as Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, Mega Man, Resident Evil, X-Men, Avengers, and many others.
Battles are deliberately chaotic, combining quick movement, long aerial combos, screen-filling special attacks, assists, character switching, and powerful comeback mechanics. Players build teams of three fighters, making team composition almost as important as mastering a single character.
How the Gameplay Works
Only one character is directly controlled at a time, but teammates can briefly enter the screen to perform assist attacks. Players can also tag between fighters during a match, extend combos through team mechanics, or use powerful Hyper Combos after building enough meter.
X-Factor temporarily increases a fighter’s speed and damage and becomes stronger when fewer teammates remain alive. A match ends once all three characters on one team have been defeated, encouraging players to manage health, assists, meter, and character order throughout each fight.
