Vox Machinae is a VR and non-VR mech combat game where players pilot large industrial war machines called Grinders. Battles focus on weighty movement, cockpit interaction, team coordination, and managing individual mech systems.
The machines feel deliberately heavy rather than fast. Turning, aiming, jumping, and firing require more commitment than in an arcade shooter.
How the Gameplay Works
Players sit inside an interactive cockpit, control throttle and steering, aim torso-mounted weapons, use jump jets, and manage damage across different mech components. Weapon loadouts change combat range and role.
Multiplayer supports team battles, while a single-player campaign provides narrative missions and AI teammates. Voice communication and cockpit displays help coordinate attacks, making the game especially immersive in VR.
