Wheelman is an open-world driving and action game set in Barcelona, where players take control of Milo Burik, an undercover operative portrayed by Vin Diesel. Milo enters the city’s criminal world as a highly skilled getaway driver and gradually becomes involved with rival gangs, dangerous robberies, and a larger operation unfolding behind the scenes. Much of the game revolves around using vehicles as both transportation and weapons while moving through the streets of the city.
The game blends high-speed driving with third-person shooting, giving players a mixture of car chases, escapes, combat missions, and open-world exploration. Missions often involve stealing vehicles, protecting allies, pursuing targets, or escaping heavily armed enemies. Barcelona can also be explored between story missions, with additional driving challenges and optional activities providing more opportunities to earn rewards and improve performance.
How the Gameplay Works
Players drive a wide selection of cars and motorcycles while completing missions across the city. Vehicle combat plays a major role, with special moves allowing Milo to ram opponents from the side, perform powerful vehicle attacks, and use precise driving techniques to disable enemy cars. During certain situations, players can also use slow-motion aiming to shoot specific targets while driving, making it possible to destroy tires, eliminate enemies, or damage pursuing vehicles.
Milo can leave his vehicle and continue missions on foot using firearms and close-range attacks. One of his most unusual abilities is Airjack, which allows him to leap from his current vehicle onto another moving vehicle and take control of it without stopping. Story missions are supported by optional activities such as races, getaway challenges, and destruction-focused events, while completing objectives unlocks additional vehicles and improves Milo’s abilities.
