LOST EMBER is an exploration adventure where players travel through the remains of a vanished civilization as a wolf accompanied by a mysterious spirit. Memories scattered throughout the landscape gradually reveal the history of the world and the personal story connecting the two travelers.
The game’s defining ability allows the player to leave the wolf and inhabit different animals encountered in the environment. Each creature provides a new perspective and movement style, turning exploration into a journey through land, water, and air.
How the Gameplay Works
Players roam open natural environments as the wolf while following traces of past events. At almost any time, the spirit can transfer the player’s control into nearby animals such as birds, fish, small mammals, and other creatures.
Animal abilities allow access to different terrain, including flying above obstacles, swimming underwater, entering narrow spaces, or moving through environments in ways the wolf cannot. Exploration and memory sequences provide the main progression rather than combat.
