About This Game:
World Turtles is a wholesome colony and strategy game set on the back of a giant space turtle carrying a flat world through the cosmos. Players guide a civilization while managing resources, settlements, and the health of the turtle itself.
The unusual setting turns planetary management into a relationship between the population and the creature supporting them.
How the Gameplay Works
Players gather resources, construct settlements, assign work, research technology, and maintain the environment. Decisions can affect both the people and the turtle.
Progression expands the civilization while introducing more complex production and ecological needs. The game emphasizes cooperation with the world rather than aggressive conquest. The longer-term loop is not only about reaching the next stage. colony management, world carried by giant turtle, and resource production all influence how efficiently the player can handle objectives, while settlement building adds pressure or reward that becomes more noticeable later on. Players who understand those relationships generally have more options than those who focus on one mechanic alone. These mechanics reinforce one another over time. colony management establishes the main routine, world carried by giant turtle changes how that routine is approached, and resource production adds more flexibility. Once settlement building becomes a regular part of progression, earlier decisions can have a noticeable effect on later performance, giving the game a stronger sense of continuity.
