About This Game:
A Planet Full of Cats is a hand-drawn hidden-object adventure that expands the familiar cat-searching formula with exploration inspired by Metroidvania games. Players follow Judy, a space bounty hunter sent to investigate a mysterious signal coming from a distant world in the Federated Feline System. What begins as another assignment soon turns into a journey through abandoned structures, unusual ecosystems, and long-forgotten secrets.
The planet contains several distinctive regions, including frozen facilities, ancient ruins, fungal environments, and other strange locations. Finding hidden cats remains an important part of the experience, but exploration now has a stronger sense of progression. New equipment and abilities gradually provide access to places that could not be reached earlier.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore illustrated environments while carefully examining each area for cats, interactive objects, hidden passages, and clues. Some routes remain inaccessible when first discovered, encouraging you to remember unusual locations and return once the required ability or piece of equipment has been obtained.
Progress connects the different biomes together as new powers open additional paths across the planet. Exploration also reveals more information about the mysterious events that occurred before Judy arrived. The result combines the relaxed observation of a hidden-object game with the backtracking and discovery normally associated with exploration adventures.
