About This Game:
Bound by Flame is a fantasy action RPG set in a world being overwhelmed by powerful Ice Lords and their undead armies. Players control a mercenary who becomes possessed by a fire demon during a desperate battle. The possession grants supernatural power but also creates an ongoing struggle over how much influence the demon should be allowed to have.
Choices made during the adventure can affect the hero’s appearance, relationships, abilities, and parts of the story. Players encounter several companions with their own personalities and objectives while traveling through settlements, swamps, ruins, and dangerous regions threatened by the advancing Deadwalker army.
How the Gameplay Works
Combat takes place in real time and supports several approaches. Players can use heavy melee weapons for direct fighting, lighter weapons and traps for a faster style, or fire magic granted by the demon. Switching between these options allows encounters to be approached differently depending on the enemies being faced.
Experience points are spent across multiple skill trees, while weapons and armor can be improved with crafting components. Companions can accompany the player and assist during battles, and dialogue decisions affect relationships with them. Accepting more demonic power unlocks additional abilities but also changes the protagonist physically and narratively.
