A Total War Saga: THRONES OF BRITANNIA is a historical strategy game set in the British Isles after the Viking invasions of the ninth century. Players lead Anglo-Saxon, Gaelic, Welsh, or Viking factions while trying to unify territory and secure long-term rule.
The campaign focuses on a smaller geographic region than many Total War games, allowing politics, food, loyalty, estates, and local rivalries to play a larger role.
How the Gameplay Works
On the campaign map, players manage settlements, armies, diplomacy, recruitment, food, and faction politics. Battles shift to real-time control of infantry, cavalry, missiles, and siege forces.
Victory can come through conquest, fame, or faction-specific goals, while succession and loyalty issues can destabilize otherwise strong kingdoms.
