About This Game:
The Silent Age is a point-and-click adventure about Joe, an ordinary building janitor whose uneventful life changes after he discovers a dying man and receives a portable time machine. Joe soon learns that humanity faces a catastrophic future and that he may be one of the few people capable of preventing it.
The story moves between the early 1970s and a silent future where civilization has collapsed. Familiar locations become drastically different across the two periods, turning time travel into both a storytelling device and the central puzzle mechanic.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore side-view environments, collect objects, examine clues, and solve inventory-based puzzles. The portable time device can switch between past and future when enough power is available.
An obstacle blocking progress in one period may be absent or completely changed in the other. Players therefore move repeatedly between timelines, using actions in the past to affect conditions in the future and uncover the cause of humanity’s disappearance.
