About This Game:
Black Paradox is a side-scrolling roguelite shoot-’em-up with a colorful retro-futuristic style. Players control the bounty hunter Black Paradox and travel through space in a transforming vehicle while hunting a group of dangerous criminals known as the Hellraisers.
Each run mixes arcade shooting with randomized weapons, upgrades, drones, and other equipment. Its pixel-art presentation, neon environments, and synthesized soundtrack give the game an intentionally exaggerated arcade atmosphere.
How the Gameplay Works
Players fly from left to right while avoiding projectiles and continuously attacking waves of enemy ships. Weapons and upgrades obtained during a run change the ship’s offensive capabilities, encouraging players to adapt their strategy according to the equipment they receive.
Stages end with powerful bosses that use their own attack patterns and require careful positioning. Defeated runs still contribute toward longer-term progression, allowing improvements to be unlocked before attempting another journey through the game’s randomized encounters.
