It expands on Tennis Elbow 2013 with redesigned ball, player, and striking physics intended to make movement and shot preparation more important. Assistance options make the game approachable for newcomers, while experienced players can disable those helpers for a much more demanding simulation.
A large World Tour mode provides long-term progression across different eras of professional tennis. Thousands of simulated players compete through hundreds of yearly tournaments ranging from junior competition to major professional events. Both singles and doubles are represented, allowing a career to develop from low-level competition toward the top of the rankings.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move into position before selecting from safe shots, powerful accelerations, topspin, slices, drop shots, lobs, volleys, and smashes. Preparing early gives better control, while attempting an aggressive winner from a poor position carries a much greater chance of failure. Player inertia also means movement must be planned rather than instantly changing direction after every shot.
Difficulty settings and assists can change how demanding the simulation becomes. Auto-positioning, aiming help, and footwork assistance can simplify early matches before being gradually reduced. World Tour progression adds rankings and tournament schedules, while local, LAN, and online multiplayer provide alternatives to competing entirely against computer-controlled players.
