About This Game:
Dungeon Siege 3 is an action RPG set in the Kingdom of Ehb after the once-powerful 10th Legion has nearly been destroyed. Players take control of one of several heroes connected to the Legion and begin rebuilding its strength while confronting the forces threatening the kingdom. Each playable character has a defined background, combat style, and personality that contributes to the story in different ways.
Compared with the earlier Dungeon Siege games, this entry places greater emphasis on direct character control and action-focused battles. The campaign still includes exploration, quests, equipment, character development, and companions, but combat plays more like a modern action RPG where abilities and positioning are controlled moment by moment.
How the Gameplay Works
Players directly move their chosen hero through towns, wilderness areas, ruins, and dungeons while fighting enemies in real time. Characters can switch between combat stances that provide access to different attacks and abilities. Defensive movement and careful ability use become increasingly important against larger groups and stronger opponents.
Defeated enemies and completed quests provide equipment and experience that improve the character over time. Skill choices allow abilities to be customized, while conversations occasionally introduce decisions that affect characters or later events. Cooperative multiplayer lets additional players join combat using other heroes from the available roster.
