About This Game:
Against the Storm is a fantasy city-building roguelite set in a world repeatedly devastated by powerful storms. Players serve the Scorched Queen as a viceroy tasked with establishing settlements populated by different fantasy species, gathering valuable resources, and reconnecting distant regions with the Smoldering City.

Unlike traditional city builders built around one permanent settlement, each expedition creates a new town with different maps, resources, modifiers, and challenges. Progress made between expeditions unlocks additional possibilities while keeping every settlement unpredictable.

How the Gameplay Works
Players construct production buildings, gather food and materials, assign workers according to their species strengths, and complete orders for the Queen. Villagers have individual needs and resolve levels, so housing, food, religion, recreation, and other services must be balanced against limited resources.

Expanding through the wilderness reveals dangerous and rewarding glades containing events, resources, ruins, and opportunities. Success requires gaining enough reputation before the Queen’s impatience becomes too high, after which players move on to another settlement and continue developing their larger campaign.
