Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise is a stylish point-and-click puzzle adventure where players become a secret agent pursuing the dangerous spy Ruby La Rouge. The mission leads into Ruby’s elaborate hideout, which is filled with locked compartments, unusual machinery, hidden passages, codes, and interconnected puzzles.
The game uses a clean retro-inspired visual style and avoids combat in favor of observation and deduction. Objects discovered early can become important much later, encouraging players to remember suspicious details and revisit previous rooms when new clues are found.
How the Gameplay Works
Players tap or click around rooms to inspect objects, collect useful items, and discover hidden mechanisms. Inventory items can be used on matching objects, while number codes, visual patterns, switches, and mechanical puzzles gradually unlock deeper sections of the hideout.
Progress is nonlinear enough that several puzzles may be available at the same time. Solving one often provides an item or clue required elsewhere, turning the hideout into a chain of connected problems rather than a simple sequence of isolated rooms.
