About This Game:
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is a third-person action adventure set in a distant post-apocalyptic future where humanity has nearly disappeared and old war machines still roam the landscape. The story follows Monkey, a powerful survivor forced to accompany Trip after both escape from a slave transport.
Their uneasy partnership gradually develops as they cross overgrown cities, ruined infrastructure, and hostile territories. Character performances and the relationship between Monkey and Trip form a major part of the narrative alongside the larger mystery surrounding their world.
How the Gameplay Works
Monkey uses acrobatic climbing to cross walls, poles, ledges, and ruined structures while Trip helps operate machinery or provides tactical support. Combat centers on a staff that can be used for melee combinations, blocking, and ranged energy attacks.
Mechanical enemies have different weaknesses and attack patterns, requiring dodges, counters, stuns, or specific ammunition. Upgrade points improve Monkey’s health, combat abilities, staff attacks, and defensive options throughout the journey.
