About This Game:
Akane is a fast top-down arena slasher set in a neon-covered Mega-Tokyo in the year 2121. With no escape left, Akane enters a final confrontation against waves of yakuza and tries to eliminate as many enemies as possible before she is eventually overwhelmed.
Most enemies die from a single clean hit, but Akane is also extremely vulnerable, turning every movement into a high-risk decision. The game is designed around short runs, rapid restarts, score chasing, and learning how different enemy types pressure the arena.
How the Gameplay Works
Akane uses a katana for close combat, a firearm for ranged attacks, a dash for mobility, and special techniques that consume combat resources. Timing a sword strike correctly can deflect incoming bullets, while careful positioning prevents enemies from surrounding her.
Enemy waves introduce shooters, tougher fighters, cyber ninjas, and recurring boss encounters. Completing missions unlocks new katanas, guns, gadgets, boots, and cosmetic equipment that can alter movement or combat properties in later runs.
