About This Game:
ALL WILL FALL is a post-apocalyptic colony builder set in a future where the world has been swallowed by an endless ocean. Humanity survives on the limited pieces of land and structures still standing above the water, forcing settlements to expand upward instead of endlessly spreading across the ground. Players must turn a fragile collection of platforms into a functioning vertical city while keeping the population supplied with food, water, electricity, housing, and other necessities.
Construction uses a physics simulation that considers weight, structural support, material strength, and tension. Poorly supported sections can become overstressed and collapse, potentially damaging everything built beneath them. Alongside engineering, players must manage production chains, resources, three social factions, expeditions, research, and difficult events that can force uncomfortable decisions about the future of the colony.
How the Gameplay Works
Buildings can be placed vertically and connected into increasingly complicated structures, but every addition changes the forces acting on the surrounding construction. Players therefore need to think about foundations and support rather than simply fitting as many rooms as possible into the available space. Research unlocks additional structures including resource-production facilities, utilities, communication equipment, and other specialized buildings.
Workers, Sailors, and Engineers have different strengths and needs, requiring the player to balance their demands while maintaining production and logistics. Survivors can also be sent into areas exposed by receding tides to search for resources and additional building opportunities. Random events introduce political and moral decisions, while eight handcrafted scenarios, sandbox play, Workshop support, and a level editor provide different ways to build and experiment.
