About This Game:
Altered is a calm but challenging puzzle game built around transforming characters to change how they interact with the board. Its minimalist environments and unusual creatures hide increasingly complex logic puzzles where understanding each transformation is more important than moving quickly.

Different characters possess distinct alteration abilities that affect their size, shape, movement, or relationship with nearby objects. New puzzle ideas are introduced gradually before being combined in layouts that require several mechanics to be considered at once.

How the Gameplay Works
Players move characters across grid-based spaces and manipulate their forms to reach required positions or solve environmental problems. A route that appears blocked for one form may become possible after using another character or altering its properties.

There is no need for fast reactions, so puzzles can be studied at the player’s own pace. Later challenges demand careful planning because changing one character can affect the sequence needed for every other piece on the board.
