About This Game:
Assassin’s Creed Rogue follows Shay Patrick Cormac, an Assassin who becomes disillusioned with the Brotherhood and eventually joins the Templars. Set during the Seven Years’ War, the story explores the conflict from a different perspective while connecting events and characters from several other Assassin’s Creed games.
The adventure combines traditional city exploration and assassination mechanics with naval travel across the North Atlantic and River Valley. Shay’s role as a former Assassin also makes him a target, forcing him to deal with enemies who use many of the same stealth techniques normally available to the player.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore cities and wilderness areas using parkour, climbing, stealth, melee combat, firearms, and assassination techniques. Shay can use Eagle Vision to locate threats, while hidden Assassins may attempt ambushes from rooftops, crowds, and concealed positions.
Naval gameplay allows the Morrigan to travel between locations and fight enemy ships using cannons and specialized weapons. The ship can be upgraded with stronger defenses and offensive equipment, while captured areas and optional activities provide additional rewards across the open world.
