About This Game:
Avorion is a sandbox space game that combines ship construction, exploration, trading, combat, and empire building inside a procedurally generated galaxy. Players begin with limited resources and gradually travel toward the dangerous center of the galaxy while encountering factions, stations, pirates, and increasingly valuable materials.
Ships are built block by block, allowing their shape, size, internal systems, weapons, and purpose to be customized. A vessel can become a small miner, heavily armed battleship, cargo carrier, or part of a much larger fleet controlled by the player.
How the Gameplay Works
Progress begins by mining asteroids and collecting resources that can be used to construct better ships. Players jump between sectors, trade with stations, complete missions, fight hostile vessels, salvage wreckage, and discover new materials that allow increasingly advanced designs.
Eventually, players can own multiple ships and stations, hire captains, establish production chains, and issue orders to their fleet. Combat depends heavily on ship design, weapon placement, shields, maneuverability, and installed systems, while the sandbox structure leaves the overall direction largely up to the player.
