Azure Striker GUNVOLT 3 is a fast 2D action-platformer that continues the series with a major focus on Kirin, a new heroine who fights using talismans and close-range sword techniques. Gunvolt also returns with powerful electrical abilities and a different role in the story.
The game keeps the series’ emphasis on speed, stylish attacks, scoring, and anime-style presentation while giving Kirin a distinct combat flow built around tagging and teleporting between enemies.
How the Gameplay Works
Players run, jump, dash, throw talismans to mark targets, and use sword attacks to warp directly into enemies. Gunvolt can also be called upon through special systems, providing high-powered electrical attacks.
Stages reward fast clears and maintaining score chains, while bosses use multi-phase attack patterns that demand precise movement. Collectible Image Pulses provide passive or active bonuses and reference characters from across the series. Most of the depth comes from understanding how fast 2d action-platforming, playable kirin and gunvolt, and talisman tagging and teleport attacks fit together during normal play. Each one can solve a different problem, and electrical abilities becomes another factor that changes priorities later on.
