About This Game:
Banners of Ruin is a turn-based roguelike deck-building game set in Dawn’s Point, where the animal clans of House Blackfoot have suffered a devastating defeat against House Ender. Players assemble a party and fight through the city in an attempt to weaken the rival house and eventually reach its most important defenders.
Party members belong to different animal races and bring their own cards, abilities, equipment options, and passive effects. Building a strong deck therefore involves considering both the individual characters and how their cards work together during increasingly dangerous encounters.
How the Gameplay Works
Players travel through a sequence of events and turn-based battles while adding cards, equipment, and new party members to the current run. Combat uses a deck shared by the party, with cards providing attacks, defensive actions, movement, status effects, and character abilities.
Up to six characters can join the group, and positioning them correctly influences which attacks or abilities can be used. Characters gain talents and equipment during the run, but defeat can end the current attempt and force another group to take up House Blackfoot’s fight.
