About This Game:
Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY places Batman inside Arkham Asylum after the Joker takes control of the facility and releases many of Gotham’s most dangerous inmates. The story unfolds across a connected island filled with cell blocks, medical areas, caves, gardens, security zones, and hidden passages.
The game established a combat and stealth formula built around flowing melee encounters, predator rooms, detective work, gadgets, and exploration. The Game of the Year package includes additional challenge content alongside the main campaign.
How the Gameplay Works
During melee fights, Batman can strike, counter, stun, evade, and use gadgets while moving automatically between nearby enemies. Maintaining a combo increases score and opens additional takedown options. Predator encounters take place in larger rooms where Batman uses gargoyles, vents, explosives, silent takedowns, and fear to isolate armed enemies.
Detective Mode highlights enemies, clues, breakable walls, and useful environmental information. Gadgets such as the Batarang, Batclaw, Explosive Gel, and Line Launcher also open new routes when revisiting older areas, while Riddler challenges reward careful exploration.
