Battle Chef Brigade combines action combat with cooking puzzles in a fantasy world where chefs hunt monsters for ingredients before preparing dishes for demanding judges. Players follow Mina Han as she enters a prestigious culinary tournament and meets rival chefs, unusual creatures, and influential figures from the kingdom.
Each cooking match is divided between gathering ingredients in the wilderness and preparing them in the kitchen. Better meals require players to balance combat skill, ingredient selection, puzzle efficiency, and the judge’s requested elements.
How the Gameplay Works
During hunting sections, players fight creatures in side-scrolling environments and collect the ingredients they drop. Back in the kitchen, ingredients are placed into cookware where matching elemental gems can be combined to increase their quality.
Judges request particular flavors or elements, so simply creating high-value ingredients is not always enough. Upgraded cookware, combat equipment, and cooking tools provide additional strategic options as tournaments become more difficult.
