Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is a real-time space strategy game based on the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop setting. Players command fleets of enormous warships belonging to major factions while taking part in campaigns and battles across heavily contested star systems.
Compared with its predecessor, the sequel greatly expands the available factions, ship rosters, campaign scale, and strategic layer while retaining tactical fleet combat.
How the Gameplay Works
Ships move and turn with substantial momentum, making positioning and firing arcs important. Players manage weapons, shields, boarding actions, special abilities, stances, repairs, and emergency maneuvers while attempting to concentrate fire on vulnerable enemy vessels.
Campaigns add fleet construction, system control, resource management, and strategic movement between battles. Different factions use noticeably different tactics, ranging from heavy armored formations to fast raiders and unusual alien technologies.
