About This Game:
Blazing Beaks is a colorful top-down roguelite where heavily armed birds travel through dangerous environments filled with mutants, monsters, strange creatures, treasure, and risky artifacts. Each run rearranges the challenges ahead, forcing players to work with whatever weapons and items they discover along the way.
A distinctive risk-and-reward system encourages greed by offering artifacts that create negative effects while being carried. Surviving long enough to exchange those disadvantages can lead to valuable rewards, making the decision to pick up another artifact potentially dangerous.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move through overhead rooms while firing ranged weapons and avoiding enemy attacks. Clearing areas opens the route forward, while shops, items, weapons, and artifacts provide opportunities to improve or completely change the current build.
Death ends the current run and sends players back to begin again. Different bird characters provide individual abilities and starting conditions, while local cooperative play allows two players to attempt the adventure together.
