About This Game:
Nuclear Throne is a post-apocalyptic top-down roguelike shooter set after humanity has already disappeared. Mutants and monsters now occupy the wasteland, and a collection of strange playable characters fight through dangerous regions while attempting to reach the mysterious Nuclear Throne.

Every run is filled with randomized weapons, enemies, level layouts, and upgrade opportunities. The fast pace means a promising character can become extremely powerful within minutes and still be destroyed almost instantly after one careless decision.

How the Gameplay Works
Players move through overhead levels while firing weapons ranging from basic pistols to powerful energy weapons, explosives, and unusual experimental equipment. Defeated enemies release radiation that contributes toward leveling the current mutant.

At certain points, players choose mutations that provide new abilities or statistical advantages. Ammunition and health remain limited, encouraging weapon switching and careful use of available supplies while moving toward increasingly dangerous areas and bosses.
