About This Game:
Blood Omen 2: Legacy of Kain follows the vampire Kain centuries before his later rule over Nosgoth. After losing a major battle and awakening from a long period of unconsciousness, Kain discovers that the authoritarian Sarafan Lord now controls much of the land and has nearly destroyed the vampire resistance.
The adventure gives Kain a more direct third-person combat system while retaining his vampiric powers. Feeding on defeated or helpless humans restores his strength, while Dark Gifts gained through the story provide supernatural abilities used in combat, stealth, and exploration.
How the Gameplay Works
Kain attacks with claws, swords, axes, and other weapons while blocking and countering enemy strikes. Weapons eventually break, encouraging players to pick up new equipment from defeated enemies.
Dark Gifts allow Kain to leap long distances, control certain minds, move stealthily, or perform powerful attacks. Drinking blood restores health and gradually strengthens his maximum vitality as the campaign moves through cities, prisons, industrial areas, and other parts of Nosgoth.
