BOOK OF HOURS is a narrative occult library simulation from the creators of Cultist Simulator. Players restore an ancient library, catalog strange books, learn secret histories, and develop a character through knowledge rather than direct combat.
The game is deliberately slow and text-heavy, rewarding experimentation with books, memories, skills, visitors, and occult principles.
How the Gameplay Works
Players organize rooms, read books, combine aspects, learn skills, host visitors, prepare food and drink, and unlock more of the library. Different combinations reveal new knowledge or allow difficult texts to be understood.
Long-term progression leads toward writing a personal History and choosing what kind of librarian the character becomes.
