About This Game:
BUTCHER is a brutally difficult 2D action shooter where players control a cyborg programmed to eliminate the last remaining humans. Dark industrial stages are packed with armed enemies, saw blades, machinery, explosives, lava, and other hazards capable of killing both the player and opponents within seconds.
The game deliberately embraces fast deaths and immediate retries. Small combat arenas reward aggressive movement and quick reactions, while its pixel-art violence turns walls and floors into increasingly messy reminders of each encounter.
How the Gameplay Works
Players run, jump, climb, aim freely, and use shotguns, machine guns, flamethrowers, grenade launchers, and other weapons. Enemies deal heavy damage, so standing still or entering a room without checking positions can end an attempt almost instantly.
Environmental hazards can also be used against enemies, allowing players to knock targets into saws, pits, or other machinery. Checkpoints and short levels encourage repeated attempts until a successful route through each firefight is mastered.
