About This Game:
The Escapists: The Walking Dead combines the prison-sandbox mechanics of The Escapists with locations and characters inspired by The Walking Dead comics. Players control Rick Grimes while trying to keep a group of survivors alive through zombie-filled areas based on important parts of the comic storyline.
Instead of escaping from guards, the main goal becomes survival and finding a route out of locations surrounded by walkers. Familiar environments include Harrison Memorial Hospital, the Greene family farm, Meriwether Correctional Facility, and Alexandria.
How the Gameplay Works
Players gather supplies, craft weapons and tools, complete daily objectives, and manage a group of survivors. Zombies continuously threaten the area, making weapons and defensive preparation much more important than in the original Escapists.
Rick can assign useful equipment to companions and lead them through dangerous sections of each map. Crafting provides tools, weapons, and medical resources, while completing objectives gradually opens the route toward the next story location.
