About This Game:
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is a Western first-person shooter and prequel to the original Call of Juarez. Set beginning in 1864, the story follows brothers Ray and Thomas McCall as they abandon the battlefield and begin a violent journey in search of the legendary Gold of Juarez.
The brothers travel through war-torn territory, frontier towns, deserts, and other Wild West environments while dealing with soldiers, outlaws, Indigenous warriors, and rival treasure hunters. Family loyalty becomes increasingly strained as money, romance, and the promise of the treasure pull the brothers in different directions.
How the Gameplay Works
Most missions allow players to control either Ray or Thomas, with each brother offering a different combat style. Ray is stronger in direct gunfights and can handle heavier weapons, while Thomas is more agile and can use rifles, a bow, and a lasso to reach certain positions.
Both characters have concentration abilities that make it easier to eliminate multiple enemies during intense encounters. Gunfights are mixed with horse riding, mounted weapons, duels, and larger outdoor battles. The campaign occasionally restricts the playable brother when the mission requires one character’s specific abilities.
