Call to Arms is a modern military strategy game combining traditional real-time tactical command with direct control of individual soldiers and vehicles. Battles involve infantry squads, armored vehicles, artillery, defensive positions, and destructible environments across contemporary combat scenarios.
The ability to move between overhead command and direct control separates it from a conventional RTS. Players can manage several squads across the battlefield before personally taking control of a soldier, tank, or other unit when precise action is required.
How the Gameplay Works
From the tactical view, players issue movement, attack, positioning, and cover orders to individual troops or groups. Soldiers use different weapons and equipment, while vehicles provide heavier firepower but remain vulnerable to anti-armor attacks.
Direct Control Mode allows a selected unit to be operated from a closer third-person or first-person style perspective. Buildings and battlefield objects can be damaged or destroyed, changing available cover as an engagement develops.
